Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Graduation within the last 24 months from an accredited NP or PA program
Demonstrated proficiency with all tasks on the most current NP/PA Resident competency list
Able to review medical history, assess mental health, complete physical exam
Comfortable with use of Electronic Medical Record
Demonstrates knowledge of compliance issues within the community clinic environment
Demonstrates a willingness to report any incident that is unusual or incompatible with accepted clinic procedures
Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times by complying with HIPAA policies
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to be sensitive with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
Fluency in English and Spanish (speak, read and write) required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Licenses and Certifications:
Must be able to obtain a State of California NP or PA license and NPI number within 2 months of hire
Candidate must be able to successfully meet PHC’s credentialing and privileging requirements
Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and requests from patients, co-workers, and others as necessary. Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal required.
